BOSTON – Claiming its first sweep of the season, the Boston University women's tennis team blanked Binghamton, 7-0, on Sunday afternoon at the Track & Tennis Center.
The Terriers (2-3) dominated in singles, winning 72 of the 85 games played for a .847 winning percentage, after pulling out a tightly-contested doubles point against the Bearcats (0-5).

Sydney Sharma for a 6-4 victory at No. 1 doubles and then coasted to a 6-1, 6-0 win in the top singles slot. Sharma was also victorious in singles with a 6-1, 6-2 win at line 3.

Steph Nguyen only lost one game in singles at line 5 after claiming a 6-4 win in the No. 2 doubles slot with freshman MIchelle Kleynerman, wo posted a 6-0, 6-3 victory at line 2. Junior

Nina Gulbransen won the tiebreaker in the No. 3 doubles to complete the sweep, 7-6, and then won their respective singles matches at lines 4 and 6, respectively.
The Terriers will next face Boston College in Weymouth on Saturday (Feb. 12) at 5 p.m.
