BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Advancing to its third straight Patriot League tournament final, the top-seeded Boston University women's tennis team earned a 4-0 victory over No. 4 Loyola Maryland on Saturday afternoon at Lehigh's Ulrich Varsity Tennis Courts.

The Terriers (14-7) won the doubles point by a combined score of 12-5 and then captured the first three singles points in quick fashion to extend their win streak to nine matches, as the Greyhounds saw their season end at 13-6-1.

Sophomore Victoria Carlsten and freshman Michelle Kleynerman teamed for a 6-2 win at No. 3 doubles. Kleynerman than cruised to a 6-2, 6-1 victory in the No. 4 singles slot, while Carlsten posted a 6-1, 6-3 victory in the top slot.

Junior Erica Di Battista won the other doubles match at line 1 with graduate student Emily Kim, 6-3, to seal the first point. Di Battista then dropped just one game in a dominating 6-0, 6-1 victory at line 3.

BU will next face No. 3 seed Army West Point, a 4-0 winner over No. 2 Navy, in Sunday's title match with doubles set to begin at 12 p.m.

The Terriers won the first meeting, 4-2, back on April 10 in West Point, and will be facing the Black Knights in the tournament for the first time since being edged in the 2019 final, 4-3. Army also eliminated BU in the 2018 semifinals, 4-3, after the Terriers prevailed in the 2017 final, 4-1, at Lehigh.
