BOSTON - The Boston University women's soccer team (4-4-2, 1-1-0 PL) is set to take on Lehigh (3-3-3, 0-2-0 PL) on Sunday (Sept. 24) in their first Patriot League road match of the season. Opening kick is scheduled for 2 p.m. in Bethlehem, Pa.
Sunday's match is the Terriers' first road game since Sept. 3 at Northeastern, and its first outside of Massachusetts since Aug. 31. BU seeks its first road win of 2023, entering Sunday's tilt with an 0-2-1 mark.
Inversely, Lehigh hosts its first game since Sept. 3. Despite only playing at the Ulrich Sports Complex twice so far, the Mountain Hawks are undefeated (1-0-1)
TERRIER TIDBITS
- The Terriers come off a 2-0 victory against Colgate on Wednesday (Sept. 20).
- Sophomore Mackenzie Stickelman scored her second goal of the season to put the Terriers ahead 1-0 in the 87th minute. Both of Stickelman's scores in 2023 were go-ahead goals with under 10 minutes remaining.
- Junior Morgan Fagan notched her first goal of the year just over two minutes later to pad the lead. She became the seventh different Terrier to find the back of the net this season.
- Junior goalkeeper Celia Braun recorded her third shutout of the season in the victory.
- Braun needs seven saves to overtake Amanda Fay for seventh place in program history in career saves.
- Sophomore Giulianna Gianino leads the team with seven points and 34 shots this season, the latter ranking third in the Patriot League.
- BU is undefeated (3-0) this season when scoring multiple goals.
- Since the start of the 2020-21 season, the Terriers have notched 10 shutouts over Patriot League foes in the regular season across 24 matches.
SCOUTING LEHIGH
- Lehigh is 3-3-3 on the season, currently riding a two game losing streak.
- The Mountain Hawks are 0-2 in the Patriot League and have not scored a goal in conference play so far, sustaining 1-0 losses to Navy and Lafayette.
- Ryelle Shuey leads the team with three goals on the year, while Faith Dobosiewicz has a team-best seven points.
- Maggie Ousouljoglou has played the majority of minutes in goal to the tune of a 1.07 goals-against average and .805 save percentage.
- Lehigh was projected to finish fourth, one spot behind BU, in the Patriot League Preseason Poll. Preseason All-PL honorees Shuey and Corrine Lyght were respectively named the Preseason Defensive and Offensive Player of the Year.

- The Terriers have taken four out of the last five contests against the Mountain Hawks.
