BOSTON – Riding a seven-game unbeaten streak at Nickerson Field that dates back to last season, the Boston University men's soccer team will host Holy Cross Wednesday evening. The Turnpike Trophy contest is set for a 6 p.m. start time.
BU currently leads Holy Cross in the Turnpike Trophy all-sports competition, 1-0, following a 4-0 road victory in field hockey. The contest also marks the Terriers' annual Pride Game, celebrating the LGTQIA+ community. Fans will be able to receive a free BU pride decal while supplies last.
The matchup will start off a three-game homestand for the Terriers, who are unbeaten in Patriot League play with a 2-0 win vs. Lehigh and 2-1 victory at American. The Crusaders own four points following a 1-1 draw vs. the Eagles and most recently a 2-0 win at Army West Point.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU is 3-0-0 at home this year with earlier 2-1 victories vs. UMass Lowell and UAlbany after finishing last season, 3-0-1.
- Senior Eitan Rosen scored two goals at American for his second career brace and to earn his first-ever Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week award.
- Both Rosen and graduate student Quinn Matulis lead BU with three goals apiece. Sophomore Alex Bonnington is the the third Terrier with multiple goals.
- Graduate student Colin Innes owns a team-high two assists. Rosen, senior Aidan Bone and senior Andrew Rent all have at least one goal and one assist.
- Senior Francesco Montali has started seven contests at net, posting a .696 save percentage and 1.00 goals against average.

- Overall, the Crusaders like the Terriers are on a three-game unbeaten streak with the addition of a 1-0 victory vs. UMass.

- Evan Jones leads the Crusaders with three goals, while Ethan Gill has two. Ivor Teagle owns two assists.
- Tristan Stephani has started eight games at net, posting a .750 save percentage and 1.20 goals against average.
- Opponents own a 12.4-6.6 advantage in shots per game with a 54-40 advantage in corners.
SERIES HISTORY
- The Terriers are 14-5-1 all-time against Holy Cross in a series that dates back to 1967.
- The Crusaders though have won three out of the last four matches, including last year's 2-1 win in Worcester.
