ALLSTON, Mass. – The Boston University women's tennis team competed at the ITA New England Regionals at Harvard over the weekend.

In singles, two Terriers advanced to the round of 64. Freshman
Madison Liu won both of her qualifying matches to enter the main draw in which she defeated her opponent from Yale 6-1, 6-0 to advance to the round of 64. Sophomore
Uma Bakaityte also advanced to that round with a main draw win over an opponent from Lemoyne 6-1, 6-0 in the round of 128.

In doubles, senior
Nina Gulbransen and junior
Emily Zhao defeated their Binghamton opponents 8-1 to move on to the round of 32. In that round, they played a close match with their Harvard opponents but ultimately fell in a 8-7 (6) decision. Also advancing to the round of 32 was duo of sophomore
Blanka DeMicheli and Liu who did so by winning 8-2 in their match against Merrimack.

BU will be back in action on Friday (Oct. 18) for the Bruno Classic at Brown.
