NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Boston University women's tennis team competed at the Yale Bulldog Invitational over the weekend. The Terriers faced opponents from Yale, Brown and Rutgers.
 
Freshmen Madison Liu and Gabriella Mikaul led BU's efforts in singles. Each went 3-0 and only lost a combined two sets in six matches. Sophomores Blanka DeMicheli, Uma Bakaityte and Ellie Gyuro and junior Emily Zhao also picked up one singles win each.
 
Bakaityte and Mikaul teamed in doubles to go 2-1 on the weekend, defeating opponents from Brown and Rutgers. Liu and DeMicheli earned wins over their Yale and Rutgers foes while Zhao and senior Nina Gulbransen defeated their Yale and Brown opponents. Overall, BU won seven doubles matches through the weekend.
 
BU will be back in action at the ITA Regionals at Harvard on Oct. 10.
