PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Boson University women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to Brown on Saturday evening. BU dropped the doubles point but picked up two wins in singles.
Doubles was well contested, with Brown picking up the first win at line three. BU won at line two in a 6-3 decision thanks to senior
Nina Gulbransen and junior
Emily Zhao to make the decision come down to the top spot. Brown ended up winning at the top of the lineup 7-5 to secure the doubles point.
Brown went up 3-0 with wins at lines one and three, respectively, in singles. BU earned its first point of the day when freshman
Madison Liu won 6-4, 2-6, 6-1 at the No. 2 spot. The Terriers gained another point at line five when junior
Rhea Rai won 6-1, 6-4 to close in on Brown's lead 3-2.
Brown inevitably won on the remaining singles courts to secure the 5-2 win.
The Terriers will be back in action on March 10 when they take on Bucknell at noon in Fort Myers, Fla.
