ANNAPOLIS — The Boston University women's tennis team won a 4-3 decision on Saturday over the Navy Midshipmen on the road.

The Terriers (9-7, 5-0 PL) found themselves in a 3-1 hole after losing the doubles point, fifth singles and first singles and winning just fourth singles, but rallied back to take singles lines six, two and three and close out a win over the Midshipmen (14-10, 4-1 PL), the 2024 Patriot League champions.

Freshman Madison Liu got the clinching win at third singles, dropping the first set 3-6 before rallying to win 6-4 and 6-1 in the reverse sweep. Classmate Gabriella Mikaul also won via reverse sweep, falling behind after a 4-6 first set to win the next two sets 6-2, 6-2 at second singles.

At sixth singles, junior Rhea Rai lost the first set 2-6, but bounced back with two set wins at 6-4, 6-4 to take her match. Sophomore Blanka DeMicheli won in at fourth singles with a 6-3, 0-6, 6-3 decision. Both Rai and DeMicheli have spotless Patriot League singles records, with Rai standing at 4-0 and DeMicheli at 5-0.

Next up, BU will travel to Loyola Maryland on Sunday, April 13, for a 10 a.m. start against the Greyhounds.
