BALTIMORE – The Boston University women's tennis team (10-7, 6-0 PL) posted a dominant 7-0 win over Loyola on Sunday afternoon. BU played out all its matches and only gave up one set on the way to the win.
 
In doubles, senior Nina Gulbransen and Emily Zhao finished first and won 6-2 at line three. Sophomore Uma Bakaityte and freshman Gabreilla Mikaul clinched the doubles point at the top of the lineup with a 7-5 win. Sophomore Blanka DeMicheli and freshman Madison Liu also won their match at the No. 2 spot, 6-4.
 
Bakaityte was the first to win in singles, doing so 6-3, 6-3 at the No. 1 spot. She was followed by Liu, whose 6-3, 6-2 win put BU up 3-0 in the match. Mikaul clinched the victory for the Terriers at line two, winning 6-0, 6-3.
 
Play continued on the remaining courts with Gulbransen winning 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 6 spot. DeMicheli won at line four next in a 6-3, 7-5 outcome. Finally, Zhao posted a 3-6, 7-6 (5), 1-0 (4) win at the No. 5 spot to complete BU's 7-0 sweep of Loyola.
 
The Terriers will play one final regular season match against Army West Point on Saturday (April 19). First serve is set for 5 p.m.
