Men's Soccer to Begin Road Trip with Tuesday Night Derby at Boston College

BOSTON – Opening a three-game road trip, the Boston University men's soccer team will make the short trek to ACC rival Boston College with the Battle of Comm. Ave. matchup set for Tuesday night at 7 p.m.

TERRIER TIDBITS
  • After improving to 2-0 at home with Saturday's 1-0 victory over Navy, BU will try to move above .500 in road contests. The Terriers are 2-2 so far with wins at New Hampshire (1-0) and Charleston (5-1) alongside losses at then-No. 1 Vermont (4-0) and at Army West Point (1-0).
  • Seven Terriers have found the back of the net so far with junior Andrea Di Blasio tying classmate Lapo Romieri at a team-high two goals apiece over the weekend.
  • The two men are joined by freshman Austin Mobray (1g,2a) and sophomore Pharis Petrica (1g,2a) as the only Terriers to earn at least one goal and one assist.
  • Assisting on Di Blasio's game winner against the Midshipmen, sophomore Dylan Williams joined Mobray and Petrica for the team lead at two assists apiece.
  • Junior William Clavier made his first career start against Navy, earning three saves for his first shutout. Senior Ben Alexander started the first seven games, earning a .708 save percentage and 1.40 goals against average.
  • Opponents are averaging 0.6 more shots with a slight edge in corners, 28-25.
SCOUTING BOSTON COLLEGE
  • The Eagles are 3-3 at home following last Friday's 2-0 loss to No. 2 NC State with wins over Northeastern (1-0), Binghamton (1-0) and Dean (14-0). The other two losses came against Siena (3-1) and California (2-0).
  • BC's biggest win of the season so far occurred at then-No. 14 Virginia Tech (1-0) in an ACC contest.
  • 12 Eagles have scored at least one goal with Johannes Hanken Tjostheim owning a team-high four goals and eight points, while Ask Edeland leads BU at three assists alongside seven points and 21 shot attempts.
  • Andrej Borak has started all seven games against NCAA Division I opponents, posting a .743 save percentage and 1.29 goals against average.
  • The Eagles are averaging three more shot attempts per game, despite opponents owning a 45-36 advantage in corner kicks.
SERIES HISTORY
  • BC leads the all-time series, 29-18-12, in a rivalry that dates back to 1967.
  • The Eagles are riding an eleven-game unbeaten streak at 7-0-4 with the teams battling one another to three straight draws.
  • BU last won in 2012 at BC, 1-0.
