BOSTON - The Boston University men's soccer team will look to continue its winning ways as the Terriers travel to Kingston, R.I. to play Rhode Island on Friday, Sept. 21 at 5 p.m. BU has a three-game win streak going against the Rams that dates back to the 2004 season.

The Terriers (3-3-0) snapped a two-game slide with a 2-1 win over UCF on Monday, Sept. 17 on their own Nickerson Field. BU used three second-half goals from junior Neil Hlavaty (Lombard, Ill.), sophomore Shaun Taylor (Sandown, England) and freshman Aaron O'Neal (Virginia Beach, Va.) to secure the victory. The Terriers scored two goals immediately after the half and had to hold off the Knights' comeback late in the game.

BU is led by junior Petur Sigurdsson (Hafnarfjordur, Iceland) and freshmen O'Neal and Daniel Chu (Irvine, Calif.). Each has two goals for the Terriers this season. Sophomore keeper Hrafn Davidsson (Reykjavik, Iceland) has started all six games in goal and has a 1.36 goals against average (GAA) and a save percentage of .800.

URI (1-4-0) suffered its fourth loss of the season when No. 21 Brown defeated the Rams, 1-0, on Sunday evening in the URI's last time out. The teams played a scoreless first half, but the Bears knocked in the game-winner 15 minutes into the second frame. Rhody is led by Lukasz Tumicz's three goals. Keeper Chris Pennock has a GAA of 2.04 and a save percentage of .697.

The Terriers hold a 19-15-8 lead in the all-time series. BU has won the last three contests, each of which has been a one-goal game. The Terriers won 1-0 in 2006, 2-1 in 2005 and 3-2 in overtime in 2004. URI's last victory came in 2003, when the Rams down BU 3-1.

BU finishes out September with UMass on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 1 p.m.
