WORCESTER, Mass. - Jenna Fisher scored the game-deciding goal for the third straight game as the Boston University women's soccer team (6-3-2, 2-0-1 PL) handed Holy Cross (9-1-1, 1-1-1 PL) its first loss of the season, defeating the Crusaders, 3-0, on Wednesday night at Smith Soccer Stadium to stay unbeaten in conference play.

Fisher, who leads the conference in goals and points in league matches, has scored a goal in every Patriot League contest so far this season.

BU got to work at the 15 minute mark when Ana Cuffia and Taylor Krebs put together a pair of tries on net, both of which were saved by Holy Cross' Carly McCabe but it sparked the Terriers offense. Jenna Fisher got a nice look on net that was blocked by a Crusader in the 30th minute but it only took one more run up the field to give the Terriers its game-winning score.

Erica Kosienski controlled the ball inside the box and took a hard shot at McCabe, who made a great save but couldn't control it and Fisher was able to send the rebound to the back of the net to force Holy Cross to play from behind for the first time all season.

BU controlled the game for the rest of first half and went into halftime with a 1-0 advantage.

The Terriers came out of halftime with fast play and scored its second goal of the match five minutes into the second period. Jamie Turchi notched her second goal of the season when she avoided the Crusader defense at the top of the box and sent one far side to cushion the Terrier lead.

Boston U. continued to pressure on offense and got three shots off including one on net over the next three minutes. Katherine Lim would score the final goal of the game in the 57th minute, the first goal and points of her career, when Ana Cuffia sent a perfect pass to Lim's feet, who was positioned inside the 18, and sent it past McCabe to score the third goal of the game--the most the Terriers have netted in any game this season.

BU's defense held Holy Cross to just one shot throughout the entire second period, which was a header that gave Alyssa Parisi, who recorded her second shutout of the season, some action, making a difficult save on the left post to prevent Holy Cross from scoring.

The Terriers dominated from start to finish, outshooting the Crusaders 17-3 overall and 5-2 on net. This is the sixth consecutive game that BU has held its opponent to six total shots or less.

BU travels to Bethlehem, Pa. for a matchup with Lehigh on Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m.
