BOSTON - Jamie Turchi netted the game-winner in the 57th minute to keep BU's unbeaten streak alive and take a 1-0 victory against Dartmouth on Tuesday night at Nickerson Field. The Terriers have not dropped any of their last seven games and have won the last three.

BU outshot the Big Green 9-6 and did not allow a shot on goal for the first 64 minutes of the contest.

Neither team put together much of an offensive effort in the first half, with BU taking four shots, only one of which made it to the Dartmouth goalkeeper, a soft shot by Turchi. The Big Green had just one shot through the first 45 minutes, a blocked attempt in the fourth minute.

The Terriers came out strong in the second half, however, and got two shots off before scoring the game-winner. Katherine Lim had a shot blocked followed quickly by a shot by Taylor Krebs that was saved.

A foul called inside the midfield line gave Alyvia Wimmer a free shot, which she used perfectly, serving the ball in front of the net where Turchi was able to head it in to take the lead and ultimately the win.

Dartmouth did not relent for the final minutes and had some dangerous shots on goal, including one that nearly trickled behind Bridget Conway, who started the second half in net, after she jumped up to make the save in the 64th minute.

After Jenna Fisher had a shot saved, neither team gained much of an advantage for the following ten minutes due to excellent defense on both ends.

With less than two minutes to play, Dartmouth fired another try at Conway, who was able to punch it over the net and prevent a nice shot from getting past her. In total, she made three saves to preserve the 1-0 tie and earn her third win of the season.

Prior to the game, nine Boston University professors were honored by members of the team. Professors Justin Joseph, Jean Peteet, Edward Loechler, Nicholas Washienko, Michael Kwag, Marisa Milanese, Patricia Hambrick, Keith Morgan and Christopher Cavalieri were escorted onto the field by Alyssa Parisi, Turchi, Krebs, Ana Cuffia, Lim, Dara DeMatteo, Kai Miller and Ariana Aston to be acknowledged on faculty and staff night.
