Terriers to Host Dartmouth in Non-Conference Tilt Tuesday Night

BOSTON – Competing in its final non-conference game of the reguar season, the Boston University men's soccer team will host Dartmouth Tuesday night at 7 p.m.

TERRIER TIDBITS

  • The Terriers are 4-2-0 at home this season following Saturday's 1-0 victory over Lafayette.
  • Senior Felix De Bona netted his team-leading sixth goal in the 18th minute against the Leopards and now ranks 43rd nationally in goals per game at 0.55.
  • Junior David Amirani tallied an assist on De Bona's game winner to become the 11th Terrier to earn a point
  • Senior Matt Gilbert was named the Patriot League's Goalkeeper of the Week for the second time this year on Monday after recording nine saves against Lafayette and moving to 15th-nationally in saves per game (0.55).
  • BU owns three shutouts this season, all at home, and has only been blanked once, also at home.
  • BU is 1-2-0 against the Ivy League this year with 2-0 home win vs. Brown and road losses at Princeton (2-1) and Harvard (3-1).
SCOUTING DARTMOUTH
  • Featuring six players with at least two goals apiece, Dartmouth has yet to win or lose on the road with five ties, including 1-1 draw at then-No. 17 Kentucky (1-1) and a 2-2 draw at Princeton.
  • Coming off Saturday's 4-1 home win over Penn, the Big Green also owns home wins over then-No. 24 Seattle (2-1) and No. 25 New Hampshire (1-0).
  • The two losses this year came against Washington (1-0) and Hartford (1-0).
  • Noah Paravicini leads Dartmouth with eight points off three goals and two assists, while Matt Danilack and Matt Greer are tied at seven points (3g,2a).
  • James Hickok has started 10 games and owns a 0.804 save percentage with 0.81 goals against average.
SERIES HISTORY
  • Last Meeting: Oct. 14, 2014 – BU 3, @ #25 Dartmouth 1
    • Both De Bona and Amirani scored within the first 10 minutes of the game.
    • Despite going down a man in the 28th minute, the Terriers added one more score with 41 seconds left in the first half.
    • Dartmouth finished with a 14-4 advantage in shot attempts.
  • Following the win two years ago, the Terriers tied the all-time series, 4-4-3.
  • Dartmouth is visiting Nickerson Field for the first time since BU prevailed in the first round of the 2004 NCAA tournament by way of shootout (4-3) following the 2-2 draw.
  • The Terriers last won at home in 2002 (1-0).
