HOW IT HAPPENED
- Dartmouth came out attacking early with a pair of headers following corner kicks in the fourth minute that were blocked by the BU backline and saved by reigning Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week Matt Gilbert, respectively.
- Gilbert came up with another key save at 8:53 coming off the line to stop a Dartmouth counter, and junior defender Eric Udelson then cleared a quick rebound attempt with an empty net behind him for the team save.
- The Terriers settled down and only trailed at the half in shots by one, 7-6.
- Junior Bjorn Kammholz replaced the injured Gilbert in the 65th minute and recorded his first-career save in the first minute of overtime after the backline posted a second team save by clearing a long and high free kick just before the end of regulation.
- TURNING POINT – After Dartmouth received the game's first yellow card at 91:46, sophomore T.J. Butzke played the free kick from 40 yards out off the chest of freshman Jerry Ozor to senior Felix De Bona, who sent a curling shot from just outside the left corner of the box for the golden goal.
