BOSTON - Primed for a highly-anticipated Terrier Tailgate, the Boston University women's soccer team will return to Nickerson Field for a 4 p.m. start vs. UMass on Sunday, Aug. 29.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- The Terriers fell for the first time this season, 3-1, at Boston College Thursday night in Newton.
- Senior Margaret Berry continued to show her nose for the goal, flicking in her second header of the season in the 80th minute to break the shutout.
- Berry, the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week, is tied for the league lead in goals (2) and points (4).
- Fellow senior Jenna Oldham provided her third assist of the season, which leads the league, and two of her assists have come off set pieces.
- BU played all 26 active players Thursday night and has had at least 12 substitutions in all three games.
SCOUTING UMASS
- The Minutewomen are coming off a 3-0 victory over UMass Lowell on Thursday to improve to 1-2-0 on the season.
- Freshman Chandler Pedolzky leads the team in both goals (2) and points (5).
- Sophomore Bella Mendoza has started all three games in net, averaging 2.12 saves per game with a .769 save percentage.
- Jason Dowiak, now in his fourth season at the helm of the program, has guided UMass to finish above .500 for three straight seasons for the first time since 2001.
