Women’s Soccer Faces Holy Cross In Turnpike Trophy Tilt

October 10, 2023

BOSTON – Beginning a stretch of five games within the next two weeks, the Boston University women's soccer program welcomes Holy Cross to Nickerson Field on Wednesday (Oct. 11). Opening kick is set for 6 p.m.

BU (6-4-3, 3-1-1 PL) is riding a four-game unbeaten streak (3-0-1), having scored 11 goals in its previous four matches. The Terriers have won three of their last four contests in Terrier Town.

Holy Cross (3-4-5, 1-1-3 PL) has also not lost in its last four games, allowing just one goal in that span. However, the Crusaders have yet to win a road game in 2023.

A Turnpike Trophy point is on the line for the match, with BU leading the series 2-0 so far thanks to victories from men's soccer and field hockey. Wednesday is also Pride Night at Nickerson Field; pride decals are available for fans at the marketing table, and the program will recognize the LGBTQIA+ Center for Faculty and Staff. Postgame autographs will also take place with the team.
