For the 12th straight year, GoTerriers.com counts down the top 12 achievements of Boston University teams and student-athletes from the previous year.Â
Earning the No. 1 spot in this year's Terrier 12 is the field hockey team winning its fourth Patriot League title in five seasons as senior
Ally Hammel became the first two-time first-team All-American in program history.Â
For the fourth straight year, the Terriers claimed the Patriot League's regular-season title with head coach
Sally Starr being named the league's Coach of the Year. BU earned a pair of 2-1 victories in the PL tournament, using a late game-winner from sophomore
Petra Hall in the semifinals against Lafayette before classmate
Maggie New provided the heroics in the title game versus American.Â

Hammel repeated as the NFHCA Northeast Region Player of the Year and the PL Defensive Player of the Year and joined classmate Allie Doggett and sophomore Ailsa Connolly on the All-PL First Team, while Hall and junior Kiley Gallagher were second-team honorees.
The team set program records for NFHCAÂ National Academic Squad honorees (12) and Patriot League Academic Honor Roll members (17). In the spring, the team achieved their best semester ever, putting together a 3.47 grade-point average while also setting a yearly mark with a 3.45 in 2018-19.Â
