It's hard to measure Len D'Errico's accomplishments as a football player at Boston University, but he was a key individual on the Terriers' front line while Harry Agganis was becoming one of the all-time great athletes in college football.

D'Errico was a versatile player. On defense, he served as both a tackle and linebacker. On offense, he was a guard.

In 1951, D'Errico was part of a defense that held the opposition to just 15.7 points per game and helped Boston University to a 6-4 record. He was also part of the offense that averaged 30 points a game.

An All-State player from Cranston, Rhode Island, D'Errico captained the 1952 football team that finished 5-4-1. A fine all-around player, he was named the team's Most Valuable Player following that season.

In 1964, D'Errico was further honored by being elected to the University's Post War All-Star team as a second team guard.
